Feeling Transmeridian Desynchronisation....

Last weekend I returned home- but without telling my Dad, I thought (and hoped) it would be a nice surprise and of course to see my black lab Pip. Luckily the weather was great, we went to my brothers for a BBQ Saturday night (after working all day) and I must admit it was nice just to get away and 'chillax' for an evening, I was thrilled to hear my sister in law and brother are expecting their first child- I somehow think I will be getting more sleep than them soon even with all this work! Many congratulations to them. It felt good to be around family again if only to refocus and then get back to work after the weekend.
Good to be home for a short period and do some 'normal' things- this was my late birthday present, an A380 from my brother... thanks.

The greatest dog in the world- Pip.

Anyway- back to Oxford and we all feel slightly Transmeridian Desynchronisation- (even though we are not- anymore hints needed?), work is coming 'thick and fast' and there isn't much time to do anything else than study, around a month now until school final exams and a lot of ground to cover. AP360 are still working well but more heads seem to go down on desks during breaks for a 'power nap' something we have been recommended to do!

Most of us have now chosen flying partners for the states, perhaps slightly early but maybe preempting a situation of being the 'last kid picked for a team' scenario! Flying partner do all their flying together and tend to do social stuff as well due to scheduling of the flights so you have to get on!- iv paired up with Holly who seems pretty cool and is from East Anglia also so you can't go wrong!- now just have to pass the exams and get to the states.

Another bank holiday looms and it will be a good time to catch up with any outstanding work and do some questions.

I hope you have a pleasant weekend.

Transmeridian Desynchronisation- this is the type of wording the CAA use for the EASA exams...it means 'Jet lag' - why don't you just say that, because then it would be simple!?

  1. Pip... the greatest dog in the world?

Not counting Jezabel obviously... even though she's dead.

Keep up the good work Harry! :)

Safe, solid, steady progress is what they're looking for... you don't have to be a genius. Calm, reliable, methodical, unflappable... and know your systems.

A problem airborne? AVIATE, NAVIGATE, COMMUNICATE.

    Good luck Capitano!!!
